What is this?

This is a web page which can record audio and submit it for us to use (anonymously!) to train something called a Wake Word for the Astra discord bot. tl;dr: We need people to say "Hey Astra" in order to make Astra detect when people are talking to her.

The most important part of Astra is detecting when someone is speaking to her. This is done using a RNN (recurrent neural network) which is implemented by Mycroft's Precise. In order to use this, we need to collect voice data (from many people) of them saying Hey Astra, potentially multiple times, and train a model using it. That's where you come in.

We're asking for help by having you simply record your voice (by clicking the Record button), wait a second, say "Hey Astra", and clicking "Stop". After this, an audio player will appear under it and you can preview your recording. If you're happy with it, simply press "Upload" and we'll get the sample!

Your recording is 100% anonymous and will not be used for ANYTHING besides training the model.
